Privacy NoticeBobby Norris has unveiled the real reason he opted to undergo liposuction in Turkey earlier this year. The former The Only Way Is Essex star opened up about his latest cosmetic procedure, having documented his recovery on social media. Bobby, 37, was involved in a motorbike accident last year, which saw him rushed to hospital. He suffered an injury to his head after he collided with the ground, and a year later, he is still recovering from the accident. Despite his clean diet, Bobby noticed changes to his muscular physique while recovering as he was unable to exercise. Eventually, he decided surgery was the only option and opted to jet to a clinic in Istanbul.

“I was frustrated that I couldn’t get in the motor and drive. I couldn’t go to the gym, which is a huge part of my life, and for me to lose that little bit of weight… Lipo isn’t really a weight loss surgery as such,” he told The Sun. He continued: “So because of the nature of my injuries. It’s better for me and my recovery to weigh less for the sake of my knee. I think it’s got a lot better than what it was.” Bobby previously revealed he had an upper left blepharoplasty – a surgery on the eyelid – and buccal fat removal in his cheeks. The TOWIE favourite has been open and honest about his cosmetic surgeries on social media and shared the reality of the recovery process.

However, his social media posts previously attracted trolls and he was forced to defend himself when he was accused of having undergone gender reassignment surgery. He issued a lengthy statement to trolls in a video on Instagram, where he shut down any misinformation about his surgeries. Bobby said: “To the trolls out there who have already decided to pipe up and are ready and waiting to give me a caning when you don’t even know what I have had done yet, that’s bizarre. “I just want to jump on because, since I’ve been back, I’ve just been resting and recuperating and the few times that I’ve been on social media I’ve seen several comments saying that I am going through gender reassignment surgery and that I’m transitioning. So I want to come on here to say it’s absolute fake news. Firstly, if I was to undergo a procedure like that I would assume that what you would do first is get the beard off. If you’re going to go to the effort of everything else coming off, surely the beard’s coming off first. I don’t know. But I am a man, I love being a man and I’m not transitioning.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
