Privacy NoticeCoronation Street’s Hope Stape, played by Isabella Flanagan, is all grown up and ready for another major storyline in the popular ITV soap. Fans are in for a shock as she looks completely different from the small child they remember. Hope, the daughter of Fiz and John Stape, has been raised by her mum and stepfather Tyrone Dobbs. She first appeared on Corrie in 2010 as a premature baby, born three months early after her mum was involved in a horrific tram crash. But the drama didn’t stop there, as Hope’s biological father John died before her first birthday. He had been on the run following the deaths of Colin Fishwick, Charlotte Hoyle, and Joy Fishwick when he tragically died in a car accident.

Fiz later reconciled with her ex-boyfriend Tyrone, and they formed a blended family with his daughter Ruby in 2013. Just when things seemed to be looking up for the family of four, Hope was diagnosed with cancer after suffering a number of health issues. At the tender age of four, Hope was fighting for her life and undergoing treatment to overcome the terrible disease. Luckily, fate was on her side and she managed to conquer her cancer.

Given her heartbreaking early years, it’s no surprise that Hope developed behavioural issues and in 2020 tried to run away with her half-sister Jade Rowan. During this period, Jade concocted a false tale about the girls being mistreated at home. The strain of the lies became too much for Tyrone who left Fiz for Alina Pop the following year. Alina was expecting Tyrone’s child and they were excited about starting their own family, when Hope ignited a fire at 2a Coronation Street, resulting in Alina losing her baby. After all the turmoil involving Hope already on the iconic street, she is back on our screens and according to soap spoilers, she’s set to be embroiled in a major baby bombshell plot. Coronation Street is broadcast on weekdays on ITV and can be streamed via ITVXStory SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
