The former Coronation Street star, who is also known for starring in Netflix’s Fool Me Once, headed to Manchester on Saturday, 3 August where she took part in a live interview in the city. As she attended the Glamour UK Empowerment Summit, 37 year old Michelle wowed fans as she looked smart in a chic grey blazer and shorts which she paired with a sleek white top which had a square neckline. Finishing off the sophisticated look, the actress sported some white stilettos and wore her brunette hair in a voluminous ponytail.

Posting a series of snaps to Instagram, Michelle gave fans a peek inside the event and revealed which person in her life empowered her each and every day. Captioning the post, she wrote: “An absolute honour to speak at the @glamouruk empowerment summit in my home town, thank you @deborah_joseph for having me Mum you empower me every day, thank you for being my plus 1 always.” In response to the photos, Michelle’s followers were quick to flood her comments section with messages of support. “Love that you mention your mum,” wrote one. “Stunning and a fantastic role model x,” another added.

Michelle’s outing comes after she opened up about her nine-year marriage to husband Mark Wright and revealed the main key to keeping their relationship alive. In an interview with Fearne Cotton on her Happy Place podcast, the TV star discussed what she believed makes her and Mark so compatible. “I think just being best friends. I think just being friends and having that relationship, I think we are really lucky where if I go up north, he comes with me if he can and same when I go down south,” she said.
