Adam Peaty Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty’s tattoos are unmissable, with the athlete having two full arm sleeves as well as various other inkings. Many of Adam’s tattoos have special meanings behind them, including his newest addition – a small letter ‘H’ in the centre of his chest. The new tattoo is a tribute to his girlfriend Holly Ramsay, 23, who is the daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. Holly has also repaid the favour, having a small ‘A’ inked behind her ear. On Adam’s torso, he has the outline of a cross and the words ‘into the light’ tattooed. The inkings symbolise Adam’s faith. He became a Christian in 2023 after battling depression and alcoholism after the Tokyo Olympics.

Elsewhere, he has an enormous lion inked on his upper arm, which he had done in recognition of his first Olympic gold meal at the Rio 2016 Olympics. The roman numeral XXVI – which means 2016 – sits next to the lion. Also in tribute to his Olympic success, Adam has the iconic Olympic rings inked on his inner arm and the word ‘equilibrium’. Further down on his arm is a portrait of the Greek God Poseidon – the God of the Sea in Greek mythology – and the words ‘Courage, Integrity and Belief’. Oh his other arm, Adam has a Spartan warrior inked on his shoulder along with a latin script. There’s also a big sword which has the phrase ‘Conquer your demons’ written on it. Across his fingers are the words ‘Fuel’ and ‘Ride’. Matt Richards Matt Richards, who looks set to star on Strictly Come Dancing this year, has a full tattoo sleeve on his right arm, which tells the story of his life. The Team GB star has the Olympic Rings tattooed on his hand, making it clear how much the Games mean to him.

He has the coordinates of the swimming pool at the Tokyo 2020 Games inked on his finger, with plans to get this year’s Paris pool coordinates tattooed too. On his arm, Matt has a large portrait of a lion – his dad’s favourite animal – alongside a tiger, his mum’s favourite. “Most of the ones all over my arm are family related. The big lion on the top of my shoulder is to represent my dad, Simon,” he previously told The Sun. “And then on the inside of my arm, just the other side of that, I have got a tiger, which is my mum Amanda’s favourite animal.” Dan Evans Team GB tennis ace Dan Evans has a huge collection of tattoos. He has revealed the meanings behind some of his body art, but others remain a mystery. On his back and shoulders, Dan – who lost his quarter final men’s doubles match with Andy Murray – has tattoos of the Real Madrid badge, stadium and a player, with the Spanish word ‘Orgullo’, which means ‘pride’ in English. He also has an inking of the Champions League trophy, along with a script reading ‘gloria a ti campeon el escudo es mi pasion’ which translates as ‘glory to you champion, the shield [or badge] is my passion’.

Dan also has an inking of lions and a lawnmower, but has not revealed the meanings behind this. He’s got ‘Shhh’ inked on his finger and a number of stars on his leg, along with an Oscar Wilde quote. It reads: “Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future”. Dan has a tattoo of Jesus Christ wearing a crown of thorns on his left arm, along with the phrase ‘The Lord is our Soul’. In June 2023, Dan told MailOnline: “I’m Catholic but I’m not overly religious. I just wanted to have a tattoo. Seems to be a decent bloke, old Jesus.” Tom Daley Olympic diver Tom Daley – who has been spotted with his children at the Olympics – looks to be tattoo-free upon first look, but the athlete has one sentimental inking. After the London 2012 Olympics – where he won bronze – Tom had the Olympic Rings inked on his inner arm.

He unveiled the tattoo on social media at the time, sharing a picture proudly of his arm. Tom has also revealed he plans to get a tattoo with fellow diver Noah Williams – who we won silver with at Paris 2024 – to mark their success. “I told him before that if we medalled, I’d get a tattoo for him,” Noah told Good Morning Britain after their success. “So I’m going to let him draw and design something and then I’m going to get it for him. And Tom said I’m allowed to give him a tattoo.” Freya Anderson Team GB swimmer Freya Anderson has a number of tattoos, including the Olympic Rings inked on the back of her neck. The inking is also visible when she swims at the games.

Freya also has a butterfly inked on her ribs and the handwriting of her grandmother, who passed away in 2022, on her hand. A lion inking sits on Freya’s ankle, with Canadian athlete Sydney Pickrem also having the same tattoo. Amelie Morgan Olympic gymnast Amelie Morgan celebrated her achievement at Tokyo 2020 by getting a tattoo. Amelie made history at the sporting event as she and her teammates became the first gymnasts to win a team medal for Team GB in 93 years at the Olympics.
