Privacy Notice August may have been and gone in the blink of an eye, but summer is showing no signs of slowing down. With the temperatures set to rise throughout the week and with bright blue skies covering vast parts of the country, the summer weather is already making September that little bit better. And when it comes to soaking up the last of the sunny skies, nothing quite screams summer like heading into the garden with a good book and a glass of something – with many turning to a crisp rosé for the occasion. If that sounds like you, one TikTok user has discovered a super refreshing tipple that tastes like Whispering Angel Provençal rosé but is more budget friendly.

Lucy, from Partner In Wine, took to TikTok, and also Instagram, to reveal that Aldi’s £7 rosé taste is like Whispering Angel which retails for £26. Speaking to her 46,000 followers, she said: “If you love Provençal rosés like Whispering Angel, you are going to want to run, not walk to Aldi.” The rosé in question is the budget supermarket’s Specially Selected Coteaux De Beziers which is made in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. While it may be made outside of the Provence region, hence the lower price tag, the tipple is bursting with flavour. And, just like any rosé from the Provence region, Aldi ’s beverage is made from samsó, grenache and syrah grapes and retails for just £6.99.

“I’m getting this really vibrant burst of red berries. I can smell strawberries, and maybe raspberries,” Lucy explained as she sipped on the drink. “Wow. It’s got this amazing crisp acidity that you would expect from a Provence-style rosé,” she added. Viewers of Lucy’s TikTok were quick to flood the comments where they gushed over the drink, with some even expressing their own opinions on the drink. “Had to go get this yesterday and had it last night, it’s so good my new favourite [heart eye emoji],” wrote one TikTok user. “You keep giving away my secrets [laughing emojis]!!! Won’t be able to get this one now too! [heart emojis],” added another.
Lucy from Partner In Wine has found a “dupe” for Whispering Angel
(Image: Instagram / partnerinwineuk)
Lucy’s most recent video comes after she revealed another Whispering Angel dupe sold at Aldi. Earlier this summer, the Partner In Wine founder said that Aldi’s Chassaux Et Fils Atlantique Rosé was another “dupe” for the tipple. Coming in at £6.49, Lucy’s followers agreed with her recommendation, with one calling it “sooo nice and easy to drink”.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
