Privacy NoticeMarried at First Sight’s Arthur Poremba has opened up about his rocky road to love on the hit reality TV series, where he tied the knot last year with Laura Vaughan. Despite a hopeful start at the altar, Arthur was left single after being dumped during the vow renewal ceremony. Arthur’s journey of love – and drama – unfolded before the nation’s eyes. He met his bride for the first time in front of the cameras, but their connection failed to spark. In an exclusive chat with The Sun, tennis coach Arthur spilled the beans on his short-lived marriage, revealing it ended via text just before the show wrapped up. To add to the drama, he had a brief romance with another bride from the series and now, a Hollywood celeb seems to have taken a shine to him.

Reflecting on his first impression of Laura, Arthur admitted he thought she “looked nice,” although the sexual chemistry wasn’t immediate. “I definitely fancied her more as the weeks went on but f***ing hell that ‘Chelsea boy’ nonsense followed me throughout the show and even now after MAFS.”, reports the Daily Star. Arthur was less than impressed when Laura pegged him as not her typical “Chelsea boy type.” He shared how fame has its awkward moments: “It’s mad whenever I’m on the tube or bus, people yell that at me or shout “I love you” because of the wedding vow. Oh my god, Jesus Christ, it’s so embarrassing,” he said. Despite enjoying his stint on the show, Arthur expressed disappointment that things didn’t pan out with Laura. “I didn’t have any heads up and was a little taken aback,” he remarked about the end of their TV marriage.

“The night before the vow renewal she messaged me saying, ‘Whatever happens tomorrow I want you to know I’ll always try to look after both of us.’ I didn’t really make anything of it at the time but looking back, it was like, ‘Oh, I see why you messaged me that the night before now.” Talking about the online commentary, he shared that social media users thought Laura was too critical of him. However, he made it clear that “They give you whatever you would have been paid at work, you have to prove what you earn so can’t say you make £10,000 a week. I think they have a maximum is probably around £1,200 to £1,300 a week. It’s a good deal. You’re not working, getting everything paid for and staying in a beautiful apartment.”

He went on to reveal: “I’ve had photos of every single body part you could think of. Photo, photo, photo.” And when it comes to romantic links, Arthur didn’t hold back about his fling with Amy Kenyon from MAFS, stating, “It was a one-night-only thing. We had been talking for a while and then after she went quiet for three months.” Reflecting further on their connection, he admitted, “I didn’t have a clue she was going on the show. She didn’t say and we didn’t talk about MAFS, which was one of the things I liked about her.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
