Privacy NoticeJosie Gibson split fans on Monday (5 August) morning as she detailed one of her controversial cooking habits while hosting the show. The presenter, who hosted alongside Craig Doyle, explained to guest chef John Torode that she ‘always washes’ chicken before cooking it. John was whipping up a roast chicken and potato salad dish on the show when Josie interrupted: “John, can I ask you a question about the chicken quickly? I’ve always washed my chicken but somebody said you’re not meant to do that?” “You don’t need to wash it,” assured John. “You don’t really need to wash it, they’re all clean. They’re all done these days. If you wash it, it doesn’t matter. A lot of cultures wash it in lime juice and all sorts of things happen, that’s fine. It’s not an issue.” Sign up to OK!’s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

During a show last week, Josie’s co-host Craig cheekily made a remark about her love life. During a light-hearted exchange with a guest, Josie playfully accused Craig of “throwing her under the bus” as he teased about her prospects for finding love. The banter kicked off just before they introduced astrology expert, Hagan Fox, who was set to reveal insights in the What’s In Your Stars segment. “Anything that anyone wants to know, including yourself, Craig,” Hagan offered. “I am here for you.” Craig quickly responded: “I am grand, I am on good form,” but then turned the attention to Josie, asking: “Anything on the love front for my neighbour here.”

Josie couldn’t hide her embarrassment as she chided: “Don’t throw me under the bus.” “The love front for Josie? ” Hagan inquired. “Well there is me, there’s Craig. Anyone else, Josie?” reports the Mirror. Trying to laugh off the situation, Josie said: “I think I am going to need a lot of help with that. I can’t believe you just did that,” she continued, urging him to move on. “Read out the numbers.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
