Privacy Notice Love Island star Maura Higgins has reportedly struck up a romance with a reality TV icon following her alleged split from American stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton earlier this year. According to reports, 33 year old Maura was seen kissing former The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks at the Broadwick Soho Hotel over the weekend, with an onlooker alleging that the pair “looked totally in love”. Speaking to The Sun, an onlooker claimed that 36 year old Pete joined Maura at the London hotel on Saturday, 3 August where Maura had been sitting with friends “for an hour” before he arrived.

“After they’d sat there for a while Maura went in for a long kiss with Pete. It wasn’t the kind of kiss you’d give a friend, it was very passionate,” the onlooker said. “Maura and Pete seemed to be really into each other and kept looking into each other’s eyes before kissing again a number of times.” The onlooker also alleged that the pair later moved into the hotel’s Flute bar after “it got dark”. They added: “They were all over each other. They looked totally in love and weren’t trying to hide it from anyone.”

OK! has contacted representatives for Maura Higgins and Pete Wicks for comment. Prior to her alleged romance with Pete, Maura had been dating stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton, though the pair reportedly went their separate ways in March, after 10 months together. “It was really fun for a while. But they’re different people. It’s over between them,” a source told The Sun. The Irish beauty also had a relationship with former Strictly star Giovanni Pernice, before the pair parted ways in October 2021 after going official that summer. Meanwhile, Pete previously appeared on Celebs Go Dating in 2019 a bid to find love – meeting future BFF Sam Thompson instead – and in 2022 returned to the show, which returns later this month, for a third series.

Sign up to OK!’s daily newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free Back in May, the TV personality spoke to OK! about his love life and revealed that he was “quite easy-going” when it came to finding his forever person. “I’m quite easy-going about it. I mean, everything you do in life is better when you share it with someone you love,” he said. “And I would love to find the right person and get married and do all that sort of stuff, but if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen. I’m quite happy on my own. So I’m not craving or desperate for it.” Straight-talking Pete also revealed that he cuts a relationship off “pretty sharpish” if he doesn’t see a future with the person he is dating. “There’s not much point in that. I don’t understand people that are in three-month- relationships all the time. They fall in love every week. It doesn’t work out that way and you’re wasting time,” he added. “So unless there’s a future in it, I cut it short pretty sharpish.”Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
