Privacy NoticeTV vet Doctor Scott Miller has revealed that he has been rushed to hospital after experiencing the “worst pain” of his life. The star, who is a regular on This Morning, posted from his hospital bed after being rushed to A&E on Monday 5 August. He said to his followers: “I’m having a bit of a tough time. I’ve really injured my back and can’t stand up at the moment. Currently I’m in a lot of pain and have spent the night in AandE. The staff have been amazing, so attentive and kind as I received pain medication, examinations and soon an MRI for the worst back pain I’ve ever experienced in my life.” “This is not a pity party or a sympathy request, rather a grateful post for the kindness and humanity I’ve witnessed and experienced since my admission to hospital,” he said. “After watching the 10 o’clock news from my hospital bed last night it pained me (even more than my current state!) to see all the rioting going on at the moment here in the UK.” Sign up to OK!’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

“If there is nothing else to unite us here in the UK, it is the incredible free health care we receive from the NHS,” he went on to say, while praising the NHS for its diversity. He then added: “And now to my MRI. Thanks to @nhsengland and all the amazing staff.” Dermot O’Leary was among the people sending him best wishes, commenting: “Hey man, get well soon,” while fellow TV vet James Greenwood said: “Get well soon mate.” Fans also added their get well soon messages, with one writing: “Oh no! Bless you Dr Scott. Laying there in pain, yet thinking of other people’s suffering. Get well soon.” A second said: “So sorry to hear you are suffering, it’s horrible. Sending you love and gentle hugs for a good recovery and that it’s not too serious. PS – keep your socks on for the MRI as it gets a bit chilly.” A third added: “Sorry to hear you’re in such pain Dr Scott. Sending all my best wishes for a speedy recovery! Very glad you’re receiving the best care and treatment.” Scott recently opened up about the reason he chose to be a vet, revealing that his own autism diagnosis played a significant role in the decision. “As a child, way before I was diagnosed with autism, I struggled socially and realised the benefit of having animals around. They were so validating and supportive, and I wanted to give back to them by becoming a vet,” he said.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
