Privacy NoticeThis Morning’s very own Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson have been singing Holly Willoughby’s praises over her much-anticipated TV return. The buzz started when it was announced that the Dancing on Ice presenter is set to revive the classic game show You Bet! with co-host Stephen Mulhern. During Wednesday’s episode, Craig couldn’t hide his excitement, exclaiming: “Holly is back! Fair play to you Holly, good to see you back on ITV.” His enthusiasm was echoed by a guest who couldn’t help but cheer at the thought of Holly’s comeback. Sonia Sodha chimed in with her own approval, saying: “Great news, it’s a great format and I’ve really missed Holly, I don’t know about you guys. Isn’t it brilliant to see her back on screen at ITV,” reports the Mirror.

Josie, too, expressed her eagerness to watch her former colleague light up the screen once more. It’s been a tough year for ITV viewers who were saddened when Holly, aged 43, stepped away from her presenting duties on the award-winning This Morning. Having joined the show in 2009 alongside Phillip Schofield, the pair became a staple duo until 2023. Since her departure, Holly has kept a relatively low profile, only stepping into the spotlight to host this year’s Dancing on Ice, which saw Ryan Thomas from Coronation Street skate to victory. With Stephen Mulhern stepping in for Phil during the skating competition, it seems the dynamic duo are ready to bring their chemistry to the reboot of You Bet!, a fan favourite from the late 80s and 90s. This autumn, ITV viewers are in for a treat with epic challenges, mind-blowing feats, and big-name celebrities.

Holly shared her excitement about the upcoming show, saying: “I’m so excited to be part of this iconic game show with the fabulous Stephen Mulhern. I’m looking forward to seeing the astonishing skills on show from the challengers and which of our celebrity panellists can come out on top.” Stephen also expressed his enthusiasm: “I loved You Bet! as a kid, so I’m very excited to be hosting this with the wonderful Holly Willoughby. “From the big and spectacular to the unique and unexpected, I can’t wait to see what extraordinary skills the challengers have up their sleeves.” The two 75-minute specials will feature members of the public using their abilities to pull off the most outrageous challenges imaginable, all for the chance to win a huge cash prize. A panel of well-known faces, along with a studio audience, will predict whether or not they think each challenger can successfully complete an extraordinary challenge.

If they guess right, then points are added to the celebrities score, based on the percentage of the studio audience who voted the same way. When the show wraps up, the audience in the studio will then vote for their favourite challenger, who will walk away with a huge £10,000. The celebrity who has the highest score at the end will also earn the same amount for their chosen charity, while the star with the lowest score takes on the entertaining final forfeit.
