Instead, fans can expect to see Josie Gibson team up with Rylan Clark from Monday (August 12) as Craig heads off to Paris for the Olympics festivities. As the presenters returned back on-air following Wednesday’s (August 7) show, an exciting trailer dropped a hint about Rylan’s much-anticipated return to This Morning, and later on, Craig, alongside Josie, tackled the buzz around the hosts’ reshuffle in high spirits. With Craig play-acting disappointment and receiving a compassionate arm around the shoulders from Josie, he even tried to lighten the mood by wandering into the Loose Women studio next door during their handover.

Eager for the audience’s undivided attention, This Morning editor Martin Frizell promised “The shows will be packed and whatever the weather, the team in front of the cameras and behind will deliver plenty of content to keep the nation smiling.” Martin gushed, “I’m delighted Alison and Dermot are kicking things off and together with our brilliant family of hosts made up of the biggest names in TV they will be serving up really exciting content on Britain’s biggest daytime show.”
