Privacy Notice Coleen Nolan’s son Jake Roche has apologised to his mum after he re-enacted intimate scenes supposedly with his ex-girlfriend Jesy Nelson during his show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Jake, who is the lead singer of the band Rixton, started dating the former Little Mix star in 2014. They got engaged but called it quits in 2016. During his performance during his semi-autobiographical musical show, he discussed his break up from the famous pop star. His mum and Loose Women star Coleen chuckled as he acted out intimate moments with his ex-girlfriend – represented by a microphone stand. He later admitted it was ‘a bit too real’ and added that ‘you can read all about it online’. At one point, he was on the floor thrusting with the microphone stand and yelled: “Sorry mum!”.

Coleen, 59, shares Jake, 31, with her ex-husband Shane Richie, 60. Meanwhile, Jake previously spoke about achieving success with his band Rixton before it all fell apart, reports the Mirror. He began his career as an actor, playing Isaac Nuttall in Emmerdale in 2010, before forming Rixton two years later. The band experienced an initial wave of success in America. In an interview with The Times, Jake said: “We kicked off big time in America. We hung around with Biebs [Justin Bieber] a fair bit.”

The band were managed by Scooter Braun, who backed them along with Universal Music, music tycoon Benny Blanco and a few others. But, in a raw tell-all, the star recounted how he hit rock bottom: “My calendar was blocked out every single day from the age of 18 until 23, 24 and then just nothing. I’d never experienced failure in my whole life. Every audition I would go to I would get. It blew me to smithereens.” Following the abrupt halt of his music gigs, he split with Jesy and found sanctuary at Ed Sheeran’s pad while the Bad Habits crooner was on tour. Jake believes Ed let him stay because he was “a bit worried” about him. Jake eventually returned to his mum Coleen’s place and took the humbling step of signing up for Universal Credit.
