Privacy NoticeAs Linda Carter’s torment continues, EastEnders viewers have all been asking the same question: why on Earth has The Queen Vic not installed CCTV? The drama unfolded as BBC One’s iconic soap saw Linda (played by Kellie Bright) murder Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) during the explosive Christmas Day 2023 episode. As March brought new developments, and Keanu’s remains were found beneath the café floorboards, viewers watched in shock as Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was cuffed and carted away. However, in a turn that baffled Walford Police, Queen Vic landlady Linda dropped a bombshell claiming she’d spotted Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) at the café that shadowy night, dragging something heavy across the ground, leading to his arrest.

EastEnders viewers ‘figure out’ Reiss Colwell’s true identity with new theory

Last week saw Linda teetering on the edge as she received unnervingly anonymous notes insinuating someone else knows about her deadly secret. Dean now locked up for murder found himself face to face with Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris), confirming her as the enigmatic blackmailer. In a crusade for the truth about her brother, Bernie covertly allied with Dean, hell-bent on squeezing a confession out of Linda and getting him released. Yet as these spine-chilling letters nudge Linda to breaking point, eagle-eyed viewers are questioning why she simply doesn’t check The Vic’s non-existent CCTV, which would certainly unmask Bernie as her tormentor, reports the Daily Star. One bewitched viewer took to social media, pondering: “Have they thought about checking CCTV in the pub to see who is leaving Linda Carter notes? # eastenders.”

Another exasperated fan blasted: “The Queen Vic, in EastEnders THE ONLY PUB IN LONDON THAT DOESN’T HAVE CCTV! ! ! ! ! ! ! Ridiculous programme.” A third viewer added: “Makes me laugh how there’s zero CCTV in the Vic #EastEnders”, while another agreed: “How comes the pub doesn’t have CCTV? ? #Eastenders.” One more fan joked: “Simple CCTV in the pub which they’ve NEVER had would solve this lol #EastEnders”.
