Privacy NoticeLove Is Blind host Emma Willis was taken aback during an appearance on The One Show when hubby Matt Willis made an unexpected revelation about their relationship. Busted’s bass player Matt, 41, along with the ex-Big Brother host, 48, have been together for nearly 20 years. Their wedding took place in 2008 at Rushton Hall in Northamptonshire, and now they’re parents to Isabelle, Ace, and Trixie. The duo are currently presenters on the UK’s version of the Netflix sensation Love Is Blind, where love-seeking singles enjoy blind dates in separate pods, leading to engagements, all culminating in the ultimate decision at the altar – to wed, or not to wed.

Appealing on BBC’s The One Show with hosts Alex Jones and Lauren Laverne, they shared a sneak peek into their personal experience while working on the series. During the telly catchup, Lauren quizzed the pair: “You guys might have thought from your point of view, you’ve been together for 20 years. If you met in the pods do you think you would have hit it off,” reports WalesOnline. Emma admitted: “So I’m an absolute yes to this. We have been asked this question a lot and the first time we got asked this I said yes absolutely.” She then playfully teased at Matt: “But he was like umm.” Matt confessed: “I say things without thinking quite a lot so I would have let myself down.”

Prompting a light-hearted ribbing from Emma: “So was that one of them.” Explaining why he thinks he might not have hit it off with Emma straight away Matt added: “I think I would have said something silly but who knows but I would have fallen for her.” Elsewhere on the show, Emma opened up about the dating show and said: “It’s bonkers. let’s just put it out there, it’s not your usual dating show. They only get to meet each other if they fall in love and propose.” Alex made an observation, saying: “We heard you didn’t have to stay to watch the dates but you wanted to because it was so addictive.” Matt admitted: “Yes absolutely. Emma more than anyone, she was so keen and it was like old school Big Brother days for her because there were screens everywhere.” Emma elaborated: “There was a wall filled with screens and we sat down and said ‘yeah we will watch the first couple’ but two hours later we missed lunch just watching these people, you just can not stop once you’ve started.” The One Show is on BBC One weeknights at 7pmStory SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
