Jessica previously opened up about the pain of watching her beloved husband slowly deteriorate during his cancer battle. Speaking in June, she described the experience as “f***ing awful”, saying: “You hear people say, ‘He passed away peacefully. It was lovely’, but it wasn’t for Jonnie. It was a f****** awful process. I wish I hadn’t seen it but I had to be with him. I kept saying to the nurses who were there with us, ‘What do I do? What do I do? ‘ and they said, ‘You can’t do anything. Just stay with him.'”. Speaking to Mail Online, Jessica also explained how she told her children of the tragic news: “I told Rex first, that Daddy had gone to heaven, in the sky, and he ran out of the room and hid. He said, ‘Why can’t the spaceman bring Daddy back? ‘ Then I told the twins. They asked, ‘How did the angels carry him up to the sky? ‘ I said, ‘Angels have special powers.’ It was all toddler talk. The conversation will change as they get older.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
