Amy Winehouse Amy and Matt didn’t actually ‘date’, but the pair were very good friends having gone to the Sylvia Young drama school together when they were teens in the late 90s. Matt has admitted they “kissed once”, but that they were “really good mates”.

Amy was an old school friend of Matt’s

The 35-year-old added that it “was just a bit of silliness really but we were really, really good mates”. “Amy was in my class so can you imagine being up against her every day? No wonder I started off acting and only got into the music business later. People think Sylvia Young is full of stage school brats but it wasn’t like that.” Holly Davies Matt and record executive Holly Davies dated between 2004 and 2005. When they broke up, Matt told the Sunday Mirror: “Holly and I have split, but we’ll always remain good friends. Everyone thinks that if you’re famous or into rock ‘n’ roll you should have someone on your arm.” He went on to express that it was a cliche and that to be more rock ‘n’ roll the key is being “spontaneous”. The pair split up in 2005, around the same time that Emma and Popworld’s Alex Zane called time on their romance.. Emma Willis In 2005, Matt and Emma started dating, having kept in touch after their first meeting. In 2007, Matt proposed on a bridge in Venice, and the following year, the pair got married.

Matt dated a musician and actress before marrying wife Emma

The pair are currently presenting Love is Blind and have offered advice to the young hopefuls looking for love. Speaking to Best magazine, Emma advised: “Get ready to graft. Patience, give and take, and being able to communicate are all key.” Matt chimed in with his own insight: “We’ve been married for 16 years now and there have been lots of ups and downs, but it’s always worth the work. It’s about being open with each other and honesty, because if you’re holding on to something, it will eventually come out as something else.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
