Privacy NoticeBuying Beverly Hills fans have been left divided after Netflix decided to cancel the real-estate show after two series. The heartbreaking news comes after the second season premiered on the streaming platform in March this year. Sources have said the cancellation is to do with the viewing numbers versus the cost of production, according to Deadline. The show follows Mauricio Umansky and his team at The Agency as they navigate selling real estate in Beverly Hills as well as friendships, romance and plenty of drama between the cast. The second season focused on the real estate agents’ dismay at Mauricio bringing in another one of his daughters to the company, Sophia Umansky. Fans took to Reddit to share their reactions as one person said: “NGL, it was insufferable to watch nepo babies swan around in designer clothes while they pretend to work.” Another Reddit user expressed: “Wait, am I crazy that I didn’t hate the show and enjoyed watching this? I was looking forward to more.”

Somebody else agreed as they commented: “Same here! I really liked it. I wonder if there’s any chance they get picked up by another network?”. While yet another, who wasn’t a fan, added: “It was pretty boring so not surprised.” The age-old nepotism debate reared it’s ugly head once again, thanks to his two eldest daughters, Farrah Brittany and Alexia Umansky, already being part of The Agency. As well as this, fans were also intrigued to tune into the second season as Mauricio discussed his widely-publicised separation from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Kyle Richards, for the first time. The show’s first series premiered in 2022, with the second instalment dropping on the streaming giant earlier this year. As well as the core family members, the cast also consists of Sonika Vaid, Santiago Arana, Ben Belack, Joey Ben-Zvi, Jon Grauman, Brandon Graves, Allie Lutz and Melissa Platt.

Agents Zach Goldsmith and Michelle Schwartz, as well as Sophia were added to the cast for the second season. The show was produced by ITV America, Just Entertainment Wheelhouse and Entertainment Spoke Studios. Netflix subscribers shouldn’t be too down and out about the show’s cancellation as the streaming platform still has plenty of real-estate based shows, including Selling Sunset, Selling The OC and Owning Manhattan. Selling Sunset is returning for season eight next month, as Netflix announced the exciting news last week with a teaser trailer to get fans excited. They penned on Instagram: “The agents are back! and the stakes are higher than a penthouse view. SELLING SUNSET: SEASON 8 premieres September 6.” The first two seasons of Buying Beverly Hills are available to stream on Netflix now.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
