Privacy NoticeModel and actress Shana Wall has filed a lawsuit against American Airlines, alleging that she was seriously hurt after being served a drink “containing broken plastic”. Shana, who previously dated TV star Ryan Seacrest, filed the lawsuit on Monday, 12 August. In it she claims that her “throat, oesophagus, vocal cords and digestive system” were injured as a result of being “served a drink in a glass containing broken plastic and shards” while on the flight. The Amazing Racing contestant was on a flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Rome on Wednesday, 1 May when she alleges the incident occurred.

In an excerpt of the lawsuit, which was first reported by The New York Post, it is claimed that American Airlines “had a duty to provide beverages and food that was uncontaminated and fit for consumption” but the airline “caused and created the dangerous, defective and unsafe condition on the airplane.” The Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit also claims that: “She was caused to be sick, sore, lame and disabled; was confined to home and bed; was caused to sustain a loss of enjoyment of life; “She became incapacitated from the duties of her occupation, sustaining wage and economic loss, [and] has incurred, and will in the future continue to incur, expenses for the treatment of her injuries.”

Shana is seeking unspecified damages for the alleged negligence. OK! has contacted American Airlines for comment. Shana, who hails from California, is known for her acting on TV and made her first on-screen appearance back in 1995 when she appeared on Married With Children. Since then, the actress has appeared on shows including Walker, Texas Ranger, Entourage, Shark and Las Vegas. She was also a contestant on The Amazing Race, which sees different teams race across the world in a bid to be crowned winner.

Away from the world of TV, Shana is now a certified sommelier and over on Instagram she often gives fans glimpse inside her work as a sommelier and has amassed over 11,000 followers on the platform. In addition to her work as a sommelier, Shana is also a contributor to the men’s magazine Best Life, according to her Instagram bio. In her personal life, the TV personality previously dated Ryan Seacrest between 2003 and 2005.
