Privacy NoticeCoronation Street star Alan Halsall is reportedly single following his split from his co-star girlfriend, Tisha Merry, earlier this year. But before Tisha, Alan, who has played Tyrone Hobbs since 1998, was married to another Weatherfield alum, Lucy-Jo Hudson, with whom he shares a daughter, Sienna-Rae. Alan and Lucy’s love story began back in 2002 on the Corrie set, leading to marriage in 2009 and the arrival of their daughter in 2013. Following a brief split and reconciliation in 2016, the pair officially called it quits in 2018. A source told The Sun: “It’s very amicable but they’ve decided to go their separate ways.

“Alan’s been joking that he’s having a mid-life crisis and he went and treated himself to a brand new car five days ago. It’s a difficult time for both of them.” Despite the heartbreak, the two remain close. “They’re devastated the marriage is over but have vowed to stay friends. They still really care for each other,” the source added.

After announcing their split, Lucy confirmed: “I can confirm Al and I are in the process of divorcing. We remain friends and devoted Mummy and Daddy to our daughter Sienna.” Just two months after her split announcement, Lucy-Jo started dating Lewis Devine, who played her character’s best mate Muddles in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. Meanwhile, Alan also moved on and found love with another colleague – Tisha Merry. She starred in Corrie from 2013 to 2017 as waitress Steph Britton and returned briefly again in 2018.

However, the couple, who had a ten-year age gap, split back in February. Alan and Tisha’s split was revealed by The Sun, with a source telling the newspaper: “Alan and Tisha had a lot of love for each other and had really similar interests, enjoying socialising and going on holiday together. But they started to drift apart and feel the pressure of making their relationship work get on top of them. “They realised they weren’t on the same page and splitting up felt like the best option. They’ve been focusing on themselves and surrounding themselves with their own friends.” Prior to dating, the couple had started off as friends and even became yoga pals after hitting it off on set. As romance blossomed between the pair, Tisha later moved into Alan’s home and everything between the pair seemed to be going well. However, it was reported that she moved out of his Manchester abode following the split.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
